5th Annual Creative Arts Conference
Comes to Naples, Florida, November 6 - 8, 2014
Artists, musicians, writers, performers, and art lovers invited to participate
NAPLES, FLORIDA. Storytellers Creative Arts today announced its fifth annual Creative Arts Conference to be held in Naples, Florida, November 6 - 8, 2014. The conference encompasses all of the arts including visual, music and worship, film and production, dance, drama and theater, and writing. Presenters will include renowned "storytellers" in each of these areas, who are making a difference in the world using their creative gifts. The purpose of the conference is to motivate and inspire emerging and experienced artists, as well as art lovers. Attendees will have their choice from an array of workshops along three separate tracks: Visual Arts, Music, Film, Drama, Writing & Storytelling, Media & Tech.Group general sessions will be led by special guest artists and performers.
The workshops and events will be held in various locations throughout the Naples/Fort Myers area, and will also include:
- An Evening of Music and Arts Concert with award winning recording artists - Jaci Velasquez and Nic Gonzales of "Salvador," and local performers and artists on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m.
- A pre-conference Art Talk and Q&A at Florida Gulf Coast University with renowned urban expressionist Marcus Jansen, Ft. Myers based artist on Wednesday, November 5, 10 a.m. to noon
- An Inspired Artworks Show, featuring juried artworks on the theme of "Hope"
- And an after-party at the Figge Conservatory and Baker Museum, Artis-Napleson Saturday, November 8, 7 to 10 p.m.
Conference headliners
Jim Krueger, writer and storyteller, is a New York Times best-selling author, award-winning filmmaker, video game developer and comic book writer, best known for his works for DC, Marvel Comics, Dark
Horse and other companies, featuring the X-Men, Spider-Man, Star Wars, Matrix, Serenity, Justice League, Micronauts and others.
Douglas C. Mann, conference keynote speaker, is a record producer, songwriter, music business and book publishing executive and missionary. He is the author of "The art of Helping Others: How Artists and Serve God and Love the World." Known as the "Creative Inciter," he embraces the role of risk-taker to bring about positive and productive action from truth.
Dick Ryan, National Director of InterVarsity Arts Ministries, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, meeting with university students studying the arts, musicians, theatre/media people, visual artists, creative writers, and dancers.
Deborah Ford, actor and author and has a diverse background, In the past two decades Ford has been a part of the entertainment industry as an officer of the United Film & Television Artists (UFTA), a member of the Southern Ohio Film Association (SOFA), Marco Island Writers, Gulf Coast Writers Association, and others. She might be most recognized as "Farmer Ford" in the national CITRACAL spot. She has won numerous awards in the areas of modeling, acting and writing.
Registration and lodging
Early registration is $109 per person before September 30, 2014, and $129thereafter. Group and student rates are also available. Concert tickets are $15 per person prior to September 30 and $25 at the door. Participants are encouraged to couple their conference participation vacation time in warm and inviting Naples, Florida.
